Seeking an analytical and detail oriented Routing Coorinator to join our team!
The Routing Coordinator will work under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor and will be responsible for assembling each day’s customer deliveries into fuel efficient and time efficient routes. The position monitors on-time deliveries and makes necessary routing changes when required to assure that we meet customer on-time delivery windows within our expectations for consistency. The Routing Coordinator also handles all special delivery requests from the Sales Team and assist the Transportation Supervisor in updating RoadNet data to ensure the accurate management of a 52 truck fleet. The Routing Coordinator must have a keen eye and attention to detail, basic computer skills and the ability to communicate instructions clearly so orders are process accurately.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure routes are scheduled and sequenced in a timely, accurate and efficient manner Analyze existing routes and drive improved efficiencies.
Work closely with sales and warehouse departments to determine delivery feasibility.
Update documents to reflect current routing guides and process change.
Strategically drive changes to processes in order to reduce costs while improving customer satisfaction.
HS diploma or GED with relevant work experience.
One (1) year experience preferred in related field (logistics, routing).
Ability to analyze scenarios, draw conclusions and make decisions with sound judgment.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work and communicate effectively with teams throughout the company.
Strong computer skills – MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Knowledge of RoadNet software preferred.
